Can someone name some different fantasy and make believe things?

Well, i'm writing a book and i need different fantasy character ideas. Witches and Wizards are taken by J.K Rowling and her Harry Potter series and Werewolves and Vampires are taken by Stephanie Meyer and her series, Twilight. Can anyone give me ideas on anything else besides Witch/Wizards and Vampires and Werewolves? I'm stuck!

Unicorns, fairies, elves, dragons, sphinx, Phoenix, demons, centaur ...
there's lots. You could always make one up using your imagination. Hope this helps!

It really doesn't matter what you write about, it's how, that really matters. It's not like Harry Potter was the first ever book written about wizards.
