Does oxycodone and hydrocodone show the same on a drug test?

    No, they dont always. Like he said, on most "broad" screening tests. I know for a fact that they can test for specific narcotics. I was on hydrocodone & the Doc tested me. He said he found hydrocodone, & another narcotic called Dilaudid. He showed me the results & it was broken down to morphine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, diladid, etc. The funny thing was, I hadnt done Dilaudid. Hydrocodone apparantly can become this other narcotic after it metabolizes in the liver. Weird. My guess is that u took oxys but are prescribed Vicodin, & ur worried ur Doc is gonna cut u off. Well, u better hope he does that "Broad" test.

    Yes and no. It depends on the test the doctor actually performs.They're both Narcotic Pain relievers, so in most broad tests, they'll both show an identical positive reaction for Narcotics. However, there are also tests they can run that allows them to actually tell which of the two medications you're actually taking.
