EVGA 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard (BIOS UPDATE)?

Guys here's my system:

EVGA NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI

(1GB) EVGA GeForce GTX 280 Superclocked

(4GB) Corsair XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit

(300GB) Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10,000RPM Serial ATA-300 Hard Drive

(1000W) Corsair Memory HX1000W 1000W Modular ATX EPS/12V


I've downloaded the newest bios update from EVGA's site, and got the installation instructions:
# Use a CD Burning software to burn the .iso image onto a blank CD (Nero, Alochol 120%, MagicISO etc.)
(1) Restart machine, and set the CD Drive as the primary boot device.
(2) The BIOS flash process will begin, Press “Y” to program BIOS.
(3) After flash remove the CD, power off PC Completely.
(4) Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS.


My question is: IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO? do you have to do any programming to the motherboard or program the memory (RAM) or anything like that? because in step (2) it says press Y to program BIOS, does that mean you have to write codes or something like that?

no, it is all done automatically, and actually the whole process only takes a few seconds.

the process is FULLY automatic, you will probably get a loading type of screen and when it's at 100% it will restart your PC and it will be all done.


Please be aware you will lose CMOS settings, you will have to reset your computers date/time and any other settings that you have changed since getting your PC.
