Should I get my Conure a friend?

I have an Orange fronted / Half moon conure

If I got him a mate, would he pay any attention to me anymore?

Yes, he may be drawn away from you but it would be nice for 'em to have a little friend.

    how long have u had him? if he is verry bonded to u, then he will probobly stay ur best friend. also, y do u want to do this? iff u want to breed, then this would be ur only way to brreed them. iff u think u are not around enough then i would say yess!!!!! u must do what it takes to make ur bird happy or else it will pluck its feathers or any other distructive behavior.

    this all depends on how much time u spend with the bird.

    Most Birds love having a companion. Weather its you or another bird, they will grow attached to one. Most Birds will pay more attention to another of there species than to you, so keep that in mind if you get him a friends. If he-she is already bonded to you, you might have a better chance of staying friends when you get another bird

    Also, when getting a buddy, make sure he/she is of the same species!
