My external hard drive wont turn on?

I have a Rock Mobile Disc. Had it for a while. Every once in a while it would take a while for the light to turn from red to green, but nothing that would indicate a problem. The other day I had to disconnect it to hook it up to another computer, it took a good 15 minutes to turn green, meanwhile the light was red, but blinking green, now it wont turn green at all. Any ideas what the problem is? I have very important thing on this and NEED access them! At least so I can transfer them till I replace the hard drive. How can I access them? Ideas? Anyone? Help?

could be the drive has a sticking point which has gradually got worse, hence the increased startup times, try giving the drive a shake to get it past the sticking point -remember though if you get it working, backup everything asap as the drive will fail permanently at some stage.

Thanks, is there some where I can take it to retrieve the data? Is it possible? Is there hope?

it might the drive is need repair in the power part
seek a some place to replace the power ..

the data will not be affected ...
