Are we in a recession? If so why Dont Obama put a cap on who much other countries can bring over here?

Wouldn't that create more jobs in the USA. If u go to china u don't see GMC cars why is that, is are goverment stupid did they take economics I thought it was called supply and demand forcing are bussiness to hire and create new jobs to get us out the recession and the gov should give them money as an incentive instead of giving everbody unemployment.

We're actually in a Depression, not a recession. If Obama did put a cap on imports, don't think U.S. will last till present. China is giving U.S. welfare, so there are money to stabilize the economy. In return, U.S. allows China to import goods and tapping into resources in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Businesses and local governments did get federal money, but how they spending it is another issue.

Can Americans afford U.S. made goods?

Because if the President put a "cap" on all the CHEAPER goods that other countries sell Us, then everything HERE would get a LOT more expensive- & everybody would be complaining that they can't afford to buy anything- anyway... ! Try to Imagine if all the Walmarts shut down (those are filled with stuff from other Countries). Are YOU gonna pay TWICE as much from another Store because it was made in the U.S.A. by people making Minimum Wage ??! :o
