I want Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson?

Who would you give up in order to obtain either of these players in a 12 team 2 player keeper league. For completeness I start a QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE and a flex:
Peyton Manning QB
Hines Ward WR
Vincent Jackson WR
Chad Ochocinco WR
Tim Hightower RB
Marion Barber RB
Heath Miller TE
Kevin Smith RB
Bench:
Mike Wallace WR
Darren Sproles RB
Pierre Garcon WR
Lance Moore WR
Robert Meachem WR
Donald Lee TE.

Who do I propose to give up, or do I just stick with my current roster?

Honestly, it depends on your record. If you aren't doin' that great this year, mortgage the farm to get AP or CJ. Seriously, give him anything he wants, Peyton+V-Jax and Ward. Does he have a good TE? Throw Miller in there. What ever offer you make, make sure its one that they can't refuse. Anyone who wouldn't give up Peyton to get either of those guys in a 2 player keeper league is insane, you can always pick up a high end QB in the first round of your draft next year.

If you are doing good, then leave don't go after either, you'd simply have to give up too much to stay competitive this year.

you won't get peterson, unless you throw manning in there, which i wouldn't do.

Johnson, if u throw Barber, Ochocinco possibly.
but for this to work, you would either need to pick up a decent WR from this trade.. or pick up one via FA.
possible FA - Torry holt, collie maybe?

12 teams is steep, so great players are extra scarce. You would have to give up too much, meaning at least Peyton, and I wouldn't trade Peyton for anyone. I like your team. You have a starter for every position. Hold on to your players. Good luck

just stick 2 ur current roster. u look really strong. even though u didnt say u where looking 4 a rating i'll give u 1 anyway. i would rate u about an 8.5-9. u have a tiny weaknees at rb n wr, but mainly rb. dont worry about wr right now. or rb. u look fine!!!!! u'll survive, no lie. trust me, i made it 2 the championship game with 2 of the weakest teams ever.
