How can i get my external hard drive to work on my xbox 360?

k so i got an external hard drive with a bunch of videos on it and other **** too and i plugged into 360 so i could watch on tv but my 360 dont recognize it so i looked into it further and found this video

the guy in it said to reformat my hard drive with fat32 but i dont wanna delete all my **** on my external hard drive and i dont have enough disk space on my hard drive to transfer over so what do i do?!? any help would be appreciated...

In order to change over to the FAT32 file system from NTFS (which it probably is at the moment), you'll have to transfer the files off the drive or lose them...

Not sure what the solution is... find a drive to borrow for a day?
