I have 3 mnth old, 3 yr and 5 yr. Is it right to put them in a daycare with 9 other children and 2 providers?

The location is beautiful and along with the two providers the caregiver says her mother helps her with the babies. Including mine will equal 3, but mine is the youngest. She's got good references and it is the only place that will allow my son to do after school care and before. Do you think my 3 month old will be alright?

It is a decision that you personally have to make. You are the one that sees the place, sees and are checking the references. You also might want to check and see what your state law is as to what the teacher to student ratio is. Some states have to have a certain amount of teachers. If they are not staying within state laws I'd be suspicious.

If you want a personal opinion, I would not. I wouldn't put my son in a place with any more then 4-5 kids per adult. Not at those ages especially. They might get the care they HAVE to have, but are they going to get extra attention, extra snuggles, and the type of attention you'd give them? Probably not.

I cant really answer it unless I knew the daycare... I have worked in a daycare for five years now and I am a early childhood major... all I can say is make sure you do your research be for trusting them with your children... you are the Parent... you will make the right decision I am sure. :D Good luck

I work in preschool and when I worked with infants it was five babies to one teacher and three toddlers. But take your time to shop around for experience caregivers and with some educational background. I nineteen but responsible b/c I raised my brother n sister. I'm now ten years experience at the same place.
So worry but dont over worry about the situation until you make an decision that sit comfortable in your heart b/c your children keeeps your heart beating.
