I'm quite enjoying watching "An Englishman In New York" on LOGO right now (John Hurt is wonderful!), and I'm curious as to your opinion- is the archetype of the witty gay man dead and gone for good? The sophisticated, dandy sort of fellows who were so elegant and charming with a quick turn of phrase, intelligent and cultured and very nearly channeling Oscar Wilde?
Has their breed gone extinct? What do you think?
