Special Constable Queries?

I have just passed my interview for the Special Constabulary for West Mercia Police and i have a few questions. First of, i understand that the next phase in the prosess is medical and security clearance but does anyone know how long this takes? What happens between the interview and appointment to train for the role? and during training, am i given uniform at the begining of the course and when will i recieve all my equipment?

I guess that they will do an enhanced CRB check and at the moment they take 6 weeks to process.

Depends how fast they want you in the role my vetting took months others only a couple of weeks. You get measured up for uniform at your medical as far as i'm aware and get your kit early on. Specials do not get issued cs or a radio and have to book it out every shift.

WHY are you in such a hurry?
It makes me think you an agenda in mind.
Secondly your equipment stays at your Police station at the end of a shift.
If I was an officer at your station I would feel that you would need a close eye being kept on you?
As for time it take what ever time it takes.
