Take a look at the information on the TSA website - they tell you a lot if you read through them (please do):

There are very few restrictions for things that you are going to put into checked luggage - any size shampoo, conditioner, perfume and such can go there (wrap them in a plastic bag in case of leakage, though).
If you want to take those items in a carry-on bag, then they all must be in containers of 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less, and must all fit into the infamous 1 qt zip lock bag.
Is the hairspray in an aerosol can? The TSA specifically forbids aerosols in both checked and carry-on bags. However, they also make an exception for "limited quantities" of personal care or toiletry items. Unfortunately, they don't define what a limited quantity is. If you have a big 10 ounce can of hairspray, it will probably be taken away. If it is a small one, then you might be OK - hard to know for certain until you get to the checkpoint.
