Which book is the best for AP English?

I have a required reading assignment for AP English, and I am able to choose from the following books: "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles or "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. I'm deciding on the factors: length, plot, and over-all rating. Which is the best? Your answer would be most helpful if you have actually read the book..thank you! :)

I have never read "The Road", but of the other two, I'd pick "A Separate Peace". It is shorter and a lot easier to understand because of the way it is written and the time period it is written. It is more modern.
