National Security in run up to 2012 olympics?

Question

In my view the stadium is a big target for terrorists who want to cause maximum casualties and disruption and some people have voiced their concerns that it could get blown up when the Olympics start and some more serious skeptics saying that while it is being built there is not much security on site and a nuclear bomb could be planted and detonated at the start of the Olympics resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths.

What kind of things will be happening in the run up to the Olympics to protect national security? Will ID cards be introduced as a means of protecting the country during the Olympics?
