Low income African-Americans might have an actual gripe with the way they've been treated by the US government. Illegal immigrants often have legitimate complaints against the governments of their home countries but for some reason instead of protesting their own leadership, they're here protesting mine. Just imagine how different Mexico would be if instead of marching around MacArthur Park every May Day they rioted in front of President Calderon's office. If I were poor and black I would be furious about having to compete with illegals for social services. Illegal immigration is the most damaging to poor Americans. it isn't fair, not at all.

That African Americans will remain the smallest minority of the two, in the 1996 African Americans were 12 .4% of the population and 12 . 8% in 2006
as compared to the Hispanics that were 9% in 1996 and 14 .4% in 2006, this is why Obama and Congress will give the illegals amnesty before the 2010 elections, because the illegals lean heavily to the Democrats, because of all the attractive government assistance programs the Democrats dangle before them during every election, while welfare has cost this country 12 trillion dollars, since LBJ signed his Great Society bill in the 60's alot of money considering World War 2 , the most expensive war this country has ever fought, cost us just little over 3 trillion dollars, but having said that, the African Americans were once in slavery, where the Hispanics were not, at least not in American History, so although the Hispanics plight is voluntary sort of speak, the African Americans had no such choice available to them, until after the Civil War******************************

Their color and African Americans were brought here to be slaves.

African Americans worked very hard as current illegals do, then moved on and changed many things in America, as the current illegals will do to.

The majority of African American ancestors were brought to the Western hemisphere in chains, to be used as cheap slave labor. For the most part, they were sold to Europeans by African slave traders. They were usually people that were captured or kidnapped. The majority of African Americans had no choice to be here. The illegals are coming here voluntarily. If they consider this a "plight", then they have the choice to leave.
