Why does my dog lay there and stare at me?

My dog stares and stares and stares. Sometimes it freaks me out. She doesnt stare at anyone else who is around just me. I'm her owner and she is VERY loyal. I wonder though why she stares.

Additional Details

I do smile and stare back at her. And then after like 15 minutes she closes her eyes and falls asleep.

I do play with her and give her lots and lots of attention this is in the evening when im relaxing and she's relaxing.

uh duh! he is trying to tell you, ''THE OWNER'' that he is bored and he wants to do something with you. try going on a walk or playing with him will make him better. my dog gets entertained when I play with her at the park.
