How can i get rid of black lines on my teeth?

Question

ok, so a couple years ago when i got braces, i wasn't too big on the whole brushing your teeth alot thing. so eventually i got these little black lines right above my bracket on 3 of my teeth, and i haven't been able to get them to go away. it wasn't too much of a big deal before, but i;m getting them off tomorrow and it's going to be really noticeable. can anyone tell me if it will just come off on it's own or do i need to get professional work? thanks.(:
