How do I fix a pressure tank problem?

We just bought a brand new pressure tank 20 gal for our well. The pressure gage switch is brand new. It feels up with water, werun it down and it starts making a rapidly clicking noise! Whats causing this?

    Sounds like you might have a pressure switch with an on and an off adjustment stud and the settings are set too close together making contacts chatter.

    More info needed, is this a shallow well system or a deep well, pump in basement, well pit, or submersible, ??? What's making the clicking sound, the tank or the switch? Is the new tank a bladder type tank or just a standard resevoir tank?

    i have worked on a couple of tanks for water pressure and alot of times they have an air bladder in them and the pressure in the bladder has to be correct for them to work right, withouth the paperwork i am not sure anyone can help you, and like the other guy said, the pressure swich needs to set correctly. i hope this can give you maybe a little guidance.
