What options do I have other than carpet on second floor?

I would like to replace my second floor carpet. The under-layment is wood (it is not concrete slab). What kind of flooring can I place on this? The tile in our upstairs bathrooms seem to move causing the grout to crack so I don't think tile is good for upstairs.

You might want to consider cleaning and sanding the wood , refinishing it and leaving it bare. There are few good wood floors today and it is very nice.

you can buy pergo. its fake long slabs of wood that are easy to install and look BEAUTIFUL
