Sewing--Where can I buy 3 inch wide black elastic?

Question

It's really hard to find elastic over 1" in width. Any ideas where I can get it?

I know Fabric Depot in Portland, OR carries at least braided elastic in 3" black, and maybe also some knitted elastic. They may also have 4".
[e-mail] -- they're my "local store", but ship all over. Very reputable.

When you're searching, ask for "corset elastic".

You might also consider some of the heavy lycra fabrics as elastic substitutes, like Powernet or some of the heavy nylon or polyester and lycra knits.
