How can i and my peers convince my school to change the dress code?

I go to Scott Middle School, in Fort Knox KY, and we have this horrid dress code. We have to wear Slacks, and Polo's, and we have to have our shirts tucked in WITH BELTS, we cant have our hair any colors beside natural colors, etc. I believe that how we dress is showing our individual style, and lets kids show there uniqueness and creative personalities. So i was wondering if you new how i could get it changed so that we can wear blue jeans, regular shirts, no belts, etc. I was Thinking that i should make a petition, but i don't know how many signatures i need. so yeah, if you would, please help.

My fellow classmates agree, but are to scared to use there voice and stick up for what they believe in.

Live with it, I went to a hs with a full uniform (shirt, tie, blazer, the whole nine yards) and can't say i really appreciated it at the time, but at the same time, we weren't all drones without personality. Dress codes and uniforms level the playing field, if everyone wears the same thing, you won't be judged based on what you wear but by what you do.
There are plenty of ways to express your personality without wearing Parasuco jeans and dying your hair pink.

AMERICAN CULTURE IS ROOTED IN REBELLION. WE HAVE OUR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. WE ALSO HAVE POWER IN NUMBERS. WHAT'S THE SCHOOL GOING TO DO? SUSPEND ALL OF US? TOGETHER, WE CAN BREAK OPEN THE FIST OF TYRANNY! etc etc (yep, write a speech, look to Churchill for advice)

Plan A)Maybe a video petition would work. Faces are more powerful than signatures.

Plan B)Or maybe make a day where everyone goes to school breaking the dress code. Civil Disobedience hehehe.

EDIT: My friend goes to a school that has a uniform policy. Girls had to wear loafers, a blouse, skirt, and stockings. They look so cute. But that's because they tamper with the uniforms. Girls like to make their skirts shorter.

EDIT: It's spelled Clique... i believe lol. It depends, Just get as many signatures as you can. I'm sorry to say, but you sound shallow. My school doesnt have any cliques but we don't have a strict dress code either. We believe that it is wrong to exclude people. Anyways, just get as many signitures as you can, a video would be good too.

well i agree a petion is a great way to start but maybe you should just get everyone who would like the uniform changed to sign the petion but make sure they are not bad kids and make sure they arent just signing to be funny get like at least 100. i tried a petion but everyone just signed and they put names like spongbob on there so the principle didnt take it seriously be serious or it probly wont work
