Show me another »My son Social Security Disability case is on appeal?
The appeals they say take about 11 months. If I get a lawyer can it be done faster?

Unless you are on your second appeal where you go to an actual hearing before a judge, a lawyer does you absolutely no good. They have NO input on the process that social security goes through.

- No, my son's SSI case is on apeal right now, he got a lawyer and they said 18-24 months. The lawyer just gives you a better chance at your appeal.
