Avoid talking to the public school board unless you can afford to get legal insurance FIRST. Go to hslda.org and see what they charge, but I know it's probably more than you want to part with since you're trying to support a baby.
Since the school district hasn't tried to have you arrested it sounds like they're content to leave you be. Some states don't require attendance after the age of 16. Some will drop the mandatory attendance bit after your 18th birthday. That's why you should not go to the local schools and start something about whether you can "have their permission" to school yourself. On top of all the other considerations, you can enter community college at 18 no matter how badly educated you are, and they offer you classes that will catch you up to where you should be with other high school students (except that you'll be in college). For example, the community colleges in California all offer a math series that starts with elementary school arithmetic, then moves along to fractions, percents, pre-algebra, beginning algebra, and so on up. And they usually have on-campus cooperative day care.
For you, I highly recommend independent schooling at home. You can look for a correspondence school or "distance learning" or an online school if you think you can handle one that sets the schedule for you. A lot more risky but more satisfying is enrolling in classes where you set the pace yourself. That requires more discipline. You know yourself, pick what you think you can stick with.
Check that second link below. Gomilpitas.com has all the information you're seeking.
Good luck.
Oh, and pay no attention to the jerks who didn't answer your question because they were too busy playing your mommy so they could chew you out for what you already know.
You should try k12.com depending on what state you live in there are charter schools available. This is completely free and they may be able to send you a computer, they give you a check at the end of the school year for paying for internet. You work at your own pace, but you have to have the weekly assignments completed by Sundays at midnight. You have 1 class connect for each class every week, which is where the teacher actually teaches you. It is pretty cool it is what I do.
Oh, Tiffany......unless you want to say "Would you like to Super Size that order, Sir"; for the rest of your life, please try to finish you education. Either try for a GED or see if your high school offers tutoring...our high school has day care....but again, please help you and your child and get an education.....AND go to court and get the baby's father identified for legal purposes later on when he can begin to pay support.
Here is an option. Have you considered taking your GED test. Plus a lot of colleges except GEDs for enrollment. So my suggestion is take the GED test and try to enroll in a community college or some kind of online classes.

There is a great FREE alternative called online school. You can finish your secondary education online. Public school boards offer online school programs or there are TONS online. Most are FREE. You get report cards, online help, and all work is given to you online. This is a good alternative for you, you can take care of your baby while working.
You can get started righ away. I suggest visiting a public school board and asking about what they offer first. Good luck!
