Are Li-Ion Batteries susceptible to memory effect?

My new camera has Li-Ion batteries. Is that the type that can be safely "topped up" with the charger even though they may not be totally empty yet?

Li-Ion Batteries are not susceptible to the 'memory effect' and can be charged at any time. According to the producers, it's even better to do that than wait until the battery is completely drained.
