Both are extremely well written. They are short stories that linger in the memory long after read because of the role that death plays. Nightingale is mainly a sacrifice to love. Where are The Cask of Amontillado is about revenge. Both use repetition in their story telling. My guess is that your teacher wants to know your opinion about which one you like, in which case you will have to read them both to give a really accurate answer. Best wishes.
