I have been a Liverpool supporter my entire life.
Managers, players, trophies have all come and gone.
My love for the club hasn't.
I'm not a fan of Rafa, so who cares what he thinks.
Yes it sucks to lose and have a poor season.
Yes it sucks not to win the title for 19 years.
But that doesn't mean that I should change my team.
That will make me a glory hunter, not a fan.

Considering their history since the Premiership came into existence, I'd say shooting for second place is really overly ambitious for any Liverpool manager.

He was just saying that last season was a good season for us, rather than a bad which many critics were stating. If you look at it in terms of the amount of money allowed to spend on transfers and injuries eg. Torres, Gerrard, Agger. we did pretty well to achieve 86pts which is normally enough to lift the trophy.
