Project Management Professional (PMP) certification?

Hi, I'm an Enginner, working for both design and project management. I am thinking to get PMP certification, but I'm not sure how much this certification will make a positive impact to advance my career these days. So do employers really care about PMP at all?

It really depends on the employer, but it's certainly becoming a requirement for many of them. My advice would be to look at the current job descriptions from companies that you'd like to work for, and check if it's required.

There are also some online resources available that might help answer your question... one of them is "Becoming a Better Project Manager". It's free, but you'll have to register before downloading the eBook at http://www.devx.com/ebook/Article/38087

That website also has other titles that are very interesting for PMs. Hope this helps!
