Die and become really famous?

how come when you die as a celebrity you become more famous than when you were alive.? look at jimi hendrix, kurt cobain, elvis and michael jackson... why is this

They were already famous last time I checked.Maybe they(the people who like them)are realizing those people will never come back,so they are enjoying the legend they left.

I don't know, but I do love Michael Jackson as much as I did when he was alive!

Any real fan would've loved him before he died.

because artists are worth more dead than when they were alive. I'll explain: when an artist dies, it will not be able to make a disc, that those facts when he was still alive, are worth double. then because this artist can no longer continue her career...hello

thats just how things happen.
probably because theres more focus on them.
but i loved michael jackson many many years before he died.....before it was 'cool' to like him. :(
