What is the "curse" with the number 27?

One of my teacher told us about the story of the musician Robert Johnson, and his deal with the devil. Since he died at age 27, our teacher asked us about the "curse" with this number in astronomy or astrology (im not sure). Other famous musicians also died at age 27 ( Kurt Cobain...) I can get bonus points with this. thanks

If you go out looking for musicians who died at 27, you will find them, because people die at lots of ages.

If you go out looking for musicians who died at 28, you will find them. If you go out looking for musicians who died at 33, 41, or 68, you will find them.

That is not the correct way to investigate the world.

Astronomy is the REAL science that studies outer space and celestial objects in outer space. This category is for Astronomy.

Astrology is the made up belief that there is some way that the position of a star or a planet could possibly have anything to do with the life that a human being lives. There is absolutely no science involved with astrology.

Superstition, jinx, curse, what ever you want to call it, is nothing more than wild hysteria. Kurt Cobain died because his "wife" at the time, injected him with an overdose mixture of liquid cocaine and heroin. That's just nature's way of cleansing the gene pool of really stupid people.

If at all, it is numerology, which is the same superstitious nonsense as astrology. In numerology, 27 is interesting for being also the number of all letters in the Hebrew alphabet.

People dying with 27 is no curse, but statistics. You can die at ANY age, and thus also with 27.
