What are some quotes in the bible concerning judgment and punishment?

I am writing a paper on Flannery O'Connor's story "A good man is hard to find". O'Connor was a devout Christian and often took shots in her work at the moral decadence of the new generations as well as at science for leading people astray from God. In my paper I want to emphasize that the Christian faith teaches that human beings should not judge one another ("Judge lest not ye be judged") also that we are incapable of ever really punishing one another properly, and that ultimately only God has the right to pass judgment and punish a man or a woman. Thank you very much for your help =D

Proverbs 11:18The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. 19 The truly righteous man attains life, but he who pursues evil goes to his death.

We are told to judge. We need to . Some people say to have an open mind don't judge me. But they open their mind so much their brain falls out.
