Scuba Diving in Melbourne?

Question

Help! My last stop will be Melbourne City and wanted to do scuba diving there. The dive shops are not providing enough details. Can anyone guide me? Will prefer a transfer / pickup near Melbourne city.
Or is there any dive shop that can do such arrangement near city? I am unable to travel all the way to Mornington or Queencliff, as it is too much of hassle and distance. I am travelling alone & ease is preferred...

Finally the shops reply. I have to travel to Mornington Peninsula which is the nearest. And my way to Portsea... Any recommendations?

For Melbourne per-se, you have to consider Mornington which you can get to by train & bus. The best place is London Bridge, great Kelp forests and clear water but have a buddy with you if you dive.

they dont "do" scuba diving in Melbourne its too cold, and if you do get in the water, everythings dead cuz it freezed to death
