Ideas for a Gothic short story?

Need some ideas for a plot. Edgar Allen Poe-like short story. I want the theme to be retribution and/or retribution.

Ha I did eap at school. This is reall bad but:
1) Old man..in big house..like in the fall of the houe of Usher...he lives alone with a dog..who he neglects and a slave as weell/or servant who he also mistreats.
2) Servant trains dog..sumhow..
3) dog eats and naws th old horrible man
4)servant and dog flee home
5) some years later, investigatir/walkers/joggers/tourists fuind half eaten/decopm[posed corpse and a room with shackles(where the slave was kept)
