Was maya angelou part of the harlem renaissance?

If I'm not mistaken the Harlem Renaissance was during the 1920's or 20's and 30's. I think Maya Angelou is about 80 so I think she would have been writing at a later time. But she was no doubt inspired by those authors and artists even if she came later.

No dear. That would make her over a 100 years old now. She would have been about 2 years old when it was ending. Good question though.

is this a joke? the harlem renaissance was the black intellectual and cultural renaissance of the 1920s. maya angelou was born in 1928.
