What is your opinion about the following books?

1) It is a good story. We can understand about the cruelty of rich people in France before Revolution. Good language. but does not give any moral

2)Good story. Relations are well portrayed. Dostoevsky feared children?? the story made me feel so. read it is great. Women freedom is shown too.

3) GREAT!!! The mind of a murderer or just the mind of a person who committed a crime is well portrayed. anyone who has read this will never commit a mistake in life. word by word superb,. you should read it !!!

1) Hunch back, somewhat a romantic novel, adventurous too.
recommended as it is classical
2) Emma is a woman's story in early England.
3) Crime and punishment is good but its better to read Penal Code.

Of the five you listed I have read only The Hunchback of Notre Dame, though I intend to get to, and have heard good things about, Crime and Punishment. The Hugo novel, while slow and overly enthusiastic about medieval architecture in parts, is actually a great read once you get into the characters. The ending is one of the more cathartic and emotional ones I have read in a long time.

--One of the better books I've read, very hard to start reading but it'll catch you later.

2) The brothers Karamazov By Dostoevsky
--An excellent book in some standards, a little difficult for the close-minded.

3) Crime and punishment By Fyodor Dostoevsky
--A DEFINITE read, one of the classic books that never grows old. Will stay with you for long time to come.
4) Emma by Jane Austen

5) Kidnapped by R L Stevenson
--An alright book, not one that I would read over and over, but very interesting with a nice plot.

Each of these books are worth reading.These all are of classic literature types..There are some of my favorite sites which u will find it easy reading online and at free of cost.
