"Gone With the Wind". Sure it's 1024 pages, but it's an amazing story about unrequited love, whether it's romantic, friendship, or love for one's way of life. Plus Mammy is an incredible character, I'd love a book just about her! It's SO much different from the movie, and IMO, better than the movie!

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. He writes lots of great stories. The Choice was good too. I honestly can't remember the full story line, but I remember thinking "Wow" after I read it.

The Bible if you want the truth but I know that's not the kind of story your talking about. That's a hard one because to me a "love story" soon reads like a cheesy romance novel...and I really don't like those.Good question. I love to read and will be watching to see what others come up with.
