Yeah, supposedly some Christian radicals killed him because he had some groundbreaking evidence about the origin of the universe.

Stephen Hawing was found dead this night in his home in England. David Peter Nomston has been arrested by the police.
Friends of the Hawking says he was close to disproving God's existence and suggested religious zealotry might be the motive.
