I have experienced a miracle! My wife is pregnant, thanks to god. Has anyone else have a similar thing happen?

My wife and I have been married for nine years, an seven years ago, we went to see a doctor because we were having a hard time getting pregnant. He informed us that I have FSH, and would never be able to have children of my own.

My wife and I did not accept this answer, and told the doctor that we have faith, and best of all god is on our side. Finally after six years of praying my wife has gotten pregnant, we are joyful and surprised since we had stopped trying for a while.

Never the less, this has brought me closer to god, and I am sure my case is not unique.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long did it take before God answered your prayers?

Additional Details

Thank you all for your feedback, however I am aware that some couples cheat on each other, but I know for a fact my wife would never cheat on me.

We know were would have some people in our lives suggest this, and we agreed we would be understanding. Faith is a blessing and when you do not have it, everything seems black and white.

My wife is a devoted catholic, as am I, and though she was worried about how people who have not found faith would try to dismiss our blessing, I assured her that who needs their approval when God himself approved it.

What we are experiencing is nothing short of a Miracle. I can only pray that other couples are as lucky as we have been.

Sorry to say, but God is not responsible for your wife getting pregnant, another man's penis is.

The likelihood of you getting your wife pregnant was pretty low if you've tried 7 years and your doctor used an absolute term such as "never". Most doctors tend to avoid absolute terms unless they are absolutely sure about your condition. If I were you I would definitely be questioning the fidelity of my wife.

I hope for your sake that it was a miracle, but probability is not in your favor.

If you had stopped having sex, and you are unable to have children, it would only make sense that your wife cheated on you. Your faith in God could probably explain her getting pregnant if you were indeed having sex with her, but not even God can be given credit for her getting pregnant if you weren't trying at the time. She cheated on you. I suggest confronting her about it, and when the child is born, getting a DNA test.

Abraham and Sarah had the same experience (according to the bible) but only after he had a child with the chambermaid.

They then, unceremoniously kicked the chambermaid and his firstborn son to the curb bye sending them out into the desert.

I think its funny that everyone thinks that them not trying means that they aren't having sex. Crazier things have happened than a man impregnating his wife. No one should knock anothers faith just because they have none. Ignorance might be bliss, but being a cynic definitely doesn't make you righteous.

I wouldn't praise God just yet, your wife could be having an affair. If you're going to rejoice, rejoice over the possibility that your barren testes produced a sperm viable enough for reproduction. I'm a fellow believer in God, but I'm tired of the people that attribute miracles or tragedies to "the will of God", when clearly he wants us to develop other rationalizations. I'm no saint, but I think he wants us to be more clever than that.

I'm sorry you put this out there and got all those answers.
I know a few couples who were healed and became pregnant after years of trying. Some close friends of ours actually gave up after 10 yrs of trying. Then in their mid-forties got pregnant. No, there was no cheating. It was a miracle.

Rest assured, God does exist. But God is the sum of all existence, not the magical, bearded Christian man in the sky pulling the levers and pressing the buttons that make the universe run. Unfortunately though it seems God , in a way, did your wife with another man's penis.

My Bad, Sorry for taking so much time. I have been busy helping Bush for the last few years ******* up our system. But hey, at least I was able to take a moment out of my day to tag your wife and give you hope once again...
Keep praying, I'm sending my son to fix everything soon as I need a vacation.

Does anyone else find this statement humorously ironic?

---Just don't get a blood test and prove "it's yours" Ignorance is bliss. Jesus is power.---

The sad thing is that ignorance really is bliss and there are way too many people living blissfully. In this case though it might actually be more beneficial to the baby's future that fact-checking doesn't occur. So, I actually second this suggestion (if you're comfortable with living unenlightened).

Funny joke (it's an old one), but it's obvious what you're doing. You are not at all religious and, instead, are using this joke to poke fun at faith and religion.

If you did not try to get your wife pregnant, then your wife is pregnant with another man's baby.

God does perform miracles, but He is not going to use your wife to bring Jesus into the world again.

You know, it's stupid "statements" disguised as questions that really degrade this for all of us. If you're so damn sure the doctor was right, why continue having sex? It is for procreation, after all. My best "answer" would be that your Doctor was wrong, or your wife IS banging your priest/minister/pastor/rabbi/mailman. I'd recommend a paternity test and leave the "Oh God" for your orgasm. I'm relatively sure your wife isn't having one.

Do you also credit god with making you impotent in the first place, or does he only get credit for the good things?

I think it'd be better phrased as "In spite of god's curse on my reproductive system, we were able to conceive! Take that god!"

So much for an almighty deity!

I understand you say your wife is a devoted catholic. I urge you to remember many priests have said the same thing and look what they have been doing to children for so many years. Everyone lies, even if it's with good intentions. I would recommend confirmation that it is yours.

As an aside (in case someone with similar problems googles in), everyone who has fathered a child has FSH as it is the hormone that stimulates (among other things) sperm production. I suspect "low/nonexistent FSH production" is a more likely problem.

    Lmao! Congrats!

Seeing as you have been together so long, I doubt she did it out of malice. Just don't get a blood test and prove "it's yours" Ignorance is bliss. Jesus is power.

That you're so full of yourself, as to think "God" personally helped you reproduce, while thousands of his children die of starvation/disease every day... That just takes a special kind of person.

Wait, you "stopped trying" AKA stopped having sex for 6 YEARS and you think that baby is a miracle. The fact that it only took 6 years for your wife to get knocked up is the miracle!

Congratulations! It really is a Miracle!

My Great Grandparents had 8 miscarriages before my Grandma was conceived. Nothing ever is or will be impossible to God.

You are amazing to be so understanding about everyone who doesn't believe!

It is a miracle that you believe in God. Well, I say miracle, but really it is just sheer ignorance. You may have stopped trying for a while but clearly your wife didn't.

    Yes,

I know of a couple for whom it took eleven years of praying. The Dr. did not say never, and it was because the girl was having the issue. However, after eleven years-- it was a very beautiful miracle.

Do us all a favor please. When the baby is born, get a DNA test and let us all know who God is. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to know. He's got a lot of explaining to do.

Dude, now that the cats out of the bag, can I have my shoes back? I left them under the bed when you came home early last week. If there is more than one pair under the bed, mine are the ones that are size 13.

sweetie I have faith and I am a good Christian and if you want to believe that this is a miracle then by all mean go ahead. Just on the off chance though you might want to have that babies paternity tested.

Get a paternity test once this baby is born. If it's yours, congrats. If it's not, that's really unfortunate, but at least you would know.

Ignore those cruel responses. God does answer prayers. In fact, just this morning I woke up and said, "God, I need a laugh today."

Now get yourself a paternity test. God created those, too, and for good reason.
