Is it illegal to grow a moustache somewhere other than above my lip?

Question

I really want a moustache, but above the lip is such an inconvenient place for it. Food would keep getting stuck in it. I am thinking of growing in on my cheek, but I don't know if I should. Is there a law against that? How come no one else grows their moustaches there?

Additional Details

I don't want like a 5 o'clock shadow on my cheek. I want a moustache, just moved over a few inches so it's on my cheek.

You can grow hair anywhere you want. There is no law against any facial hair :)

Depending on your country, yes it is illegal. Places like the US, Canada and UK have fines starting at $300 on up to $2000, possibly even jail time. In Australia however you're free to do as you please.

you won't be arrested if you make sure to call it something else besides a mustache. like eyeball mustaches would be illegal except they got around it by calling them eyebrows.

For all i know you can grow your hair anywhere you want. Dude i think hair on the cheek is awesome, it looks cool with the aftershave look. Can't wait to grow mine. xD

yes in some places you will get the death penalty if a moustache hair isnt gorwn withhin the allocated "designated moustache region" which resides just above the lip. Failure to maintain your moustache within these borders can result in the death penalty.

Moustache is a moustache only when its above ur lips. On ur cheeks, its called beard. And when its a beard, some ppl connect both sides thru the chin. And if its further back on the cheek and near the ears, its called side burns..And I dont think any country will have any rules against ppl growin any of these. And btw, why dont u just do it and make the next fashion statement if you think there arent anyone around whos doin it ?

I think a mustache on your cheek would be really cool. I'd definitely do you if you got one.
Another place to get a mustache would be above your eyes. It's also known as a unibrow. But that isn't a good option. I'd definitely stick with growing a mustache on your cheek.
