Is this a good personal statement?

I need to write a ps for a 6th form, let me know if I should change anything...
My name is ********, and I am currently a year 11 student at ***********in *********.
I consider myself a suitable student for your 6th form because; I uphold all of the values that I feel you would appreciate. For example, I believe that respect and self- determination are two qualities that will get you far in life. I say this because as deputy head girl of my school, I have seen instances where these attributes have helped.

I would say my confidents and honesty are my biggest strengths, and these were reasons I was made deputy head girl. However, my biggest weakness would probably be my in efficiency to carry out certain plans. E.g, sometimes I procrastinate about certain things, but end up not doing them, or doing them after I said I would. I am trying successfully to counter this by doing whatever I say I am going to do immediately.

I am an avid reader and thoroughly enjoy reading the classics, and other advanced novels. My favourite modern classic is ‘Emma’ by Jane Austen, however I would say my favourite text would be ‘The importance of being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde.
I am also a dedicated singer, and sing in a band (in which I also play the guitar) and my school choir.

I have decided that I would like to study at ********6th form, because it offers all the courses I would like to do. In addition, I like the schools environment and ethoses, as I believe that when you work hard, things will becomes easier for you; however, everything must be done in a balance.

I am hoping to study Psychology, English language, Math’s and Biology. This is because in the future, I plan to be psychotherapist, and I feel that these subjects will benefit me the most. My dream is to go on to higher education and study at Cambridge University.

I consider myself a suitable student for your 6th form because the values I hold are ones which I feel you would appreciate. I believe that by valuing respect and self-determination I will be able to reach my life goals. This has become even more apparent to me during my time as dhg of my school where I have seen many instances where these attributes have been of benefit.

I would say that my confidence and my honesty are my two biggest strengths, and I believe these strengths led to my being appointed dhg. My biggest weakness, I believe would be in my lack of efficiency in following through certain plans as I would have hoped. I am trying to counter this by trying to complete my tasks as I would wish and believe I am being successful in overcoming this weakness.

I am an avid reader ......... all fine.
