Teen (or not) books with and adventure plot and romance. or maybe just something different?

so, my dads coming from the states in like a week and i need to come up with my vital booklist. I loved Graceling by Kristin Cashore. the Hunger Games and Catching Fire. though i'm also into classics and have read some adult books. really loved the handmaids tale-margaret atwood and most of Phillipa Gregory's books on the Tudors. Piccoult was great. JD Salinger one of my favs(not only for Catcher and the Rye). All's good with Austen. i'm looking into getting to read brave new world.
donno... if you have anything to recoment that would be great!

None of these are "teen" books, though some I read when I was a teenager...
For the part of you that enjoyed Jane Austen, I recommend "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte. The first time I tried to read it, I did find the beginning a little boring, but if you just push through to when Jane leaves for school, it'll pick up.
For historical fiction, try "The Scarlet Pimpernel" by Baroness Orczy.
For the part of you that liked "The Handmaid's Tale" and that is preparing to read "Brave New World", try "1984" by George Orwell. This one I read in my late 20's and though I didn't think would like it, I found it to be much better than I had anticipated. In a similar vein are "Children of Men" by P.D. James, "The Manchurian Candidate" by Richard Condon, and "The Stepford Wives" by Ira Levin. The film adaptations are nowhere near as good, so even if you've seen the movies, forget them entirely and go read the books.

I've read all the books I suggested and I've read most of the books and/or authors you mentioned.

You liked the Hunger games, so I'd recommend "Gone" and "Hunger" by Michael Grant. They're really good.

you might have already read twilight, but it has adventure and romance. you also said you liked classics. well, in a way, twilight is like romeo and Juliet but a more modern version. there is a four book saga for this book.
