Guys, please explain this behaviour? arghhh.?

Question

so i like this guy at my school and recently (about a month) he's started to flirt with me heaps, we texted a lot and flirted all the time, and he asked me to watch a movie with him. he also asked me to make out with him and said he would hook up with me etc. we've played random questions over msn and i asked him what would he do if i kissed him and he said he would kiss me back. and one time he asked me what would you rather be doing and i said "having a jb-hi-five sleepover (it's our little 'club', you could say, cos his name starts with b and mine j) with lots of junk food and chocolate and xbox. and not sleeping at all. :P" then he said "o m g that would be so awesome, too bad you're not allowed :(" i also told him once that my teeth were hurting from the dentist and he said i could make em feel better (; so basically, he flirts his *** off with me and he told me he liked me (like i needed him to tell me anyways).
okaaay so on the last day of school i skipped the last two periods with him and another guy friend to go to the local shops and me and him were play fighting the whole time and joking around with each other just like old times, and then when the school bell rang i wanted to say goodbye to him but i had to leave straight away so on msn that night he's like dude why did you leave i thought you wanted to hook up? he said he'd been talking to a friend then he looked to where i was and i was gone. so i was pretty pissed at myself haha.
then he left for 8 days to go to cadet camp. when he got back i assumed he would ask to hang out with me but since then he doesn't even speak to me on msn, and i found out that he invited some of our group over yesterday and i wasn't invited so i was pretty cuuut. like i really miss him, and i dunno what happened but the flirting has stopped and i feel like he's been leading me on?

so what's the deal with this dude? should i confront him about it or just wait till he starts talking to me again?

he probably wanted you but because you left early and didnt do anything he probably thinks your not that into him
