How can I get a pen stain out of a white wool coat?

I bought a beautiful wool coat from Oilily last year and somehow managed to get blue pen on it. The wool is white and pretty thick. I'm not sure if the pen was water soluble or not. The stain has been there at least a few months, but I didn't have my coat in the summer so I didn't notice until just recently. I'm told dry-cleaning may not be able to fix the stain, and the coat is very precious (flower patterns on the front, silk on the inside) so whatever I do I want to make sure not to wreck it even further.

How can I get this pen stain (probably about nickel sized) off of the wool? Any methods or products would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Sarah

Use Folex. Its a carpet cleaning product that can also be used on fabrics and clothes. I have seen it at Home Depot and Target. Its a white bottle with purple writing. Again, it will be in the carpet cleaning section.

I swear by this stuff. I got pen out of carpet and clothes. With my new white carpet my dog ate a blue pen. The carpet was 1 day old and honestly I have no clue where he found a pen. Well I had a huge blue spot and blue paw prints everywhere. The carpet company recommended folex. I tried everything, including oxy-clean. This was the only thing that worked.

My husband gets pen on his shirts all the time. It always takes it out.

Good luck.
