Society and individuals are names we attributed to our perception of the entities that exist in the real world. We name one apple "APPLE" and we can adopt special word for 3 apple for e.g. "SAPPLE" BUT: men use words for the entities when this process of naming is beneficial. for example if a group of some entities has special character that makes it different from its individuals, men like to attribute another name for it. As for the case of 3 apples this naming is useless, since there is no distinct character for 3 apple comparing with 1 apple but when we considering human being this process of naming for group of people becomes meaningless due to distinguishable characters of group of people together. So I think it is not true since when we refer to society we can point something in the real world and this word contains a notions and characters that do not exit in the individuals
