The medical world holds a wealth of different jobs from the obvious nurse and doctor jobs to adminstrative jobs. My sister wanted to work in this field, but she wasn't sure perfectly what she wanted to do. She unearthed the site in the resource box below, it has lots of tips and tricks, and it helped her to settle what she wanted to do. They have help with other jobs too.

Medical coding specialists are the people responsible for properly "coding" medical documents (lab paperwork, test paperwork, insurance documents, etc.). ALL medical procedures from an office visit to cancer testing, and all the blood tests, etc. in between have a code assigned to them for privacy issues... the medical coding specialist is the one who assigns the code. If a document is coded wrong, insurance won't pay, etc. It is a very important job... One that starts at about $15-$18 and hour and only increases from there. It is a job where accuracy is extremely important. ALL doctor's offices and hospitals have one person who handles all of their coding...it is a secure field to go into IF you want to be in the medical/dental field but don't like blood and guts. :0) Hope this was helpful!
