Horse and Rider bonding activities?

I'm going to have a "bonding day" with my lesson horse. What are some fun things we can do to build trust?

Horses out in the wild give friendly hellos to each other by going nose to nose and breathing one little puff in the other's nose.
Groom her! Grooming is like a massage for any horse. They adore it as long as you don't touch their face.
Ride her bareback. Be "one with the horse". Be gentle and just walk down a trail or field.
Give her a treat, but not too many. Or let her graze and hold the lead rope loose so she can move around.

It takes more than just 1 day to bond with a horse. And I have found that a few ways to start a close bond with ur equine friend is groomin', as in brushin' them while at the same time talkin' to them. Also whenever ur spandin' any time with them continue to talk to them about everything & anything. Givin' praise for anything that they do correctly is also something they'll enjoy as well as give u points. I hope that u have a wonderful time with ur bondin' days. Many Happy trails 2 You!

Take her out to a field with a halter on her. Let her graze and pet and brush her.
Bring her a treat. Apples, Carrots, oats, or whatever she likes best.
Talk to the horse. Really, it will build your relationship with her.
If possible take her on a trail ride. Dont work her. Just walk and relax. Have a good time.

There is no way to bond with a horse in one day, some times it takes weeks. Never hand feed treats to a horse it causes them to start nibbling at you which causes biting. If you really want to bond with this horse, put her in a round pen and work her and make her do what you say when you say it.

"quiet moments" are precious to horses. If you just walk it around away from everyone else, feed her treats, groom her, etc, you'll be her best friend.
That's how i got to be best friends with my horse. but be careful, because you don't wanna get too 'comfortable' with the horse, because believe it or not, that's when they get bratty.
