well no one can promise you he'll survive the night, but I'm going to guess yes. he looks bright and is moving around. do a 20% water change if you're worried, and I'd suggest getting a aerator until the tank is finished cycling.

Your goldfish can not breathe because he is not living in enough water to provide him oxygen with. When your fish swims, oxygen is taken from the water through their gills, so they can breathe. Your fish has no where to swim though because the tank is too small for your fish. One goldfish needs to be in 35 gallons. They produce a lot of waste, and fish poo is converted into ammonia which is deadly to fish. How big is your tank? 5 gallons? The ammonia in your water would be 5 times the amount it so be, and 5 times the amount your fish can tolerate. This ammonia is suffocating the fish, so it can't breathe because of this and because it doesn't have enough oxygen. You will need to get a air pump immediately and connect a clear tubing to the pump and on the other end you will need to put an air stone on it and put it into your tank. The next thing you will need to do is upgrade to a bigger tank immediately! You look pretty young, so you better ask your parents for a new tank otherwise your poor fish is likely to die :(

your gold fish needs a 20 gallon tank, the ammonia from i gold fish builds up so in those tiny tanks and it physically burns fishes gills. a filter is mandantory for any fish, you have Absolutely no air flow in that tank, you should have flow from a filter and from an air stone. many people use live plants to add even more air, otherwise, your fish is inhaling carbon monoxide. and it will suffocate

fish need tanks big enough to add enogh deco and plants to allow you fish a place to hide when it feels threatened, without this, they will be very stressed, thinking that someone somthing could dive in and eat then from any angle of the tank,

i think you said you added some water right? if so did you put some chlorine neutralizer in if not id suggest you do other wise he might die. he looks like he is stressing out a little that's why i asked if u added the chlorine neutralizer .and do a PH test make sure it is ok. if he don't settle down id recommend you get some stress coat from your pet shop. hope this helps =)...also he should be fine in the tank you have him in id highly recommend you get a air pump and air stone that will take care of the lack of oxygen in the water hope this helps you =)

im sure he should but if your really worried do a quarter water change but use chlorine neutralizer and a PH test ...
