Why is Black Face Comedy so controversial? Also why was the African-American woman taken out of Tom and Jerry?

Two Black comedian can appear as two ditzy white women. " White Chicks" and no outcry from the White community. But yet if two white male comedians were to appear as two African-American men there would be an outcry. Why is this?

Bert William was a black comedian who performed in black face.

Nikolae robert downing jr looked like a regular black guy with regular colour skin. Black people DO NOT have pitch black skin. That's the reason why black people are offended by that sketch.

The wayan brothers weren't trying to offend white women or white people, infact they were making themselves look more stupid and over exacggerating there own personalitys.

I have no problem with white people trying to appear as black but don't take the p**s and dress in pitch black paint when black people have a brown toned skin colour. Robert downing jr is a good example of how it should be done.

bert williams may have done it but
1. that was in the 1920s. I like think that now were in the 2000s we as a human race has progressed.
2. Bert williams probably only did that so that he could get paid and white people were willing enough to watch a black person make a fool of himself.
