it is so long since my heart has been with yours

shut by our mingling arms through
a darkness where new lights begin and
increase,
since your mind has walked into

into the streets and colours of a town--

poem is a form of art
you are suppose to interpret it in your own way and unless he wrote something that said what the poem meant to him you can never really know what it was suppose to mean just take it apart piece by piece and figure out what you think it means, how it makes you feel
