I need some songs that would go along with a book for a school project. I'm reading And The *** Saw The Angel by Nick Cave, and I'm about 2/3 done with it. (Great book, btw) BUT, I need 5-6 songs that relate to the book, so I'm looking for some that have to do with:

Loneliness (A Cure song would be good for this one, but I'm not sure which)
Being different
Losing someone you love
A broken home/ bad family situation
A song that describes the world in a pessimistic way would be good, too

that basically sums up nirvana, although many of there songs are not appropriate.
broken home maybe sing for the moment by eminem, he literally says "this house is a broken home" too much curseing though
