Which required book that I must read is most interesting or beneficial?

From this list of books, which do you think is most worth it? It'd be really helpful if you've either read it before or can give me a short plot summary on it :) And I prefer romance or fantasy novels, if there are any below.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower- I read it and loved it, it's just the diary of a teenager but it's really good

Atlas Shrugged is very melodramatic and has flat characters- I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately I haven't read the ohers, but The House on Mango Street, from what I've heard (from people with good literature tastes), it sounds amazing. ThE Perks of Being a Wallflower sounds great as well.
Looking at book review sites would be best...

these are some good books, but i would definitly recomend i know why the caged bird sings. one of my favorites.
